I have a Pantech Matrix with unlimited texting on a family plan with 3 other users and we do not have a data plan with internet and multimedia messaging. I am getting an iPhone for my birthday on the 25th and i want to know if i would have to pay for the 3G internet service. I do know that either way i will have wifi internet service but i dont know about the 3G service.

I want to get an iPhone but the monthy phone service is more than I want to spend right now. Could I use my iPhone with wifi only if I dont have phone service for it?

I rarely talk on the phone but I use the internet a lot. I want an iphone for the convenience of the internet at my fingertips. How much would I be looking at per month for a basic calling plan and the internet? Also, can I use the internet anywhere or do I have to be in a hot spot?

I know wi-fi on the iPhone costs money, but what if you are already in a zone that has wireless internet?
In other words, can you still access the internet in an area that has wireless connection even though you aren’t paying for the service through your cell phone provider?

Some iphones that are coming out are ‘unlocked’ that means that you can put any SIM card from anouther service provider into your iphone.
What I dont understand is how you would go about getting internet service on the iphone with a T-mobile plan, when T-mobile doesnt support the iphone.
Help?

I got an iphone from my brother-in-law and i wanted to know if i could buy service for it online. Its an iPhone original.
How do you activate it through iTunes. Icouldnt figure it out.
