Get iPhone Service

I want to get the iPhone, but i don’t know how long i will be overseas. So i was wondering if the iPhone works just like the Blackberry i know that one is internationally used. Please help me to clear this up. Thanks so much!

Like the cheapest service, that provides the right 3G coverage and all that. Something like:

-T-Mobile
-Sprint

I think AT&T might be cheaper than those other companies though… :\

I have no clue what would be the best service provider for an iPhone

i currently own a treo 700wx and am with sprint. I want to change phones and use an iphone. How do i do it? and where is the SIM card located on the treo 700wx?

What is the difference between an unlocked iphone and a “high quality” copy iphone from China? I can’t understand why they are so expensive on eBay and other sites offer them for less.
What about those copies that actually look like iPhones with Apple logos all over them. They are indistinguishable in the pictures but how do they work? How do you go online with them?
